"A fter these things the Lord appointed other sev enty also and sent them two and two b efo re his fa c e into every city and place, whither he himself would come. " T h erefore said he unto them, Th e harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few : pray y e therefore the Lord o f the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest"

Consider, first, the number. It is significantly Scrip tural-being exactly S EV EN TY , the number the Lord ordained for special service near the close of His earthly ministry. The group of June graduates includes 44 young women

and 26 men. O f these, 14 are scheduled to receive degrees, of the four-year degree courses. The de gree of Bachelor of The ology will be granted to 7 men students, the degree of Bachelor of Sacred Music to 2 men and 1 woman, and the degree of Bachelor of Christian Education to 4 women. Other stud en ts in the group pictured are to re ceive diplomas for com pleting the four-year mis sion a ry cou rse (3 stu dents), or th r e e -y e a r courses such as the Gen eral Course (2 9 ), the C h r is tia n E d u ca tion Course (1 3 ), the Jewish Missions Course (4 ) , and the Music Course (7 ).

(Lk. 1 0 :1 ,2 ) . B IOLA has sent forth Imore than two thou sand g rad u a te s , predecessors of the sev enty who will be gradu ated on June 8 of this year and whose group photo graph app ea rs above. These then are our “other sev en ty a lso ,” a new group of witnesses for Christ, to be followed, we pray, by still other la borers in His h a rv e s t fields both at home and abroad, until His coming again. In a real and definite way, graduation typifies and c o n c e n tr a te s the whole life of the Bible In stitute of Los Angeles.

As to their future service, 16 of the women and 8 of the men, a total of 24, or more than one-third of the present class, expect the foreign mission field to be the place of their testimony, while 18—■ 13 women and 5 men'—expect to serve in the home mission field. A total of 13—4 women and 9 men—plan to seek further education in colleges or seminaries, and 15'— 11 women and 4 men—stated they have not yet seen clearly the field of Christian work they will follow.

All that any have done to further the work and sup port the ministry of Biola, whether as trustees, facul ty, donors, or other workers, is somehow bound up in and included in, the future labors of these graduates. Literally, the prayers of hundreds, perhaps thou sands, will be with them in these critical weeks while they are concluding their studies and are seeking to learn the Lord’s will concerning their future fields of Christian labor.
