La m arche des fe mm es, qui avait lieu le 17 septe m bre dernier à Saint- Isidore, a été couronnée de succès. Plus de 170 personnes ont participé à l’événe m ent a#n d’apporter leur appui pour La rue la nuit, femme sans peur . Plusieurs générations de fe mm es étaient représentées à la m arche, qui a co mm encé à 18h. «Nous avons m arché avec de jeunes #lles, m ais aussi avec leur m ère et leur grand- m ère», a déclaré la directrice générale du Centre Novas, Anne Jutras, qui donne rendez-vous à la population à Bourget, l’année prochaine, qui sera l’hôtesse de l’événe m ent.

Once again, visitors to the Glengarry Pioneer Museu m will have the rare treat of e x periencing the crack of m uskets, the roar of artillery and the thunder of the cavalry as the forces of the Crown defend Canada fro m an invasion of A m erican troops, on Saturday, Septe m ber 27 and Sunday, Septe m ber 28. The 1812 Battle of Glengarry Weekend has now been presented for #ve successful years thanks to the capable and colourful reenactors and participants who love to share their knowledge with curious visitors of all ages. Canadian history will be living in every corner of the village, cul m inating each day in an afternoon skir m ish recreating a piece of the War of 1812. Visitors will see a m azing reenacted battles at 3 p. m . on Saturday and 2 p. m . on Sunday. This year, the actionwill include a 6-pound cannon fro m the Crysler’s Far m Battle#eld. Also, there will be m ounted cavalry presentations featuring m e m bers of the 19 th Light Dragoons at 11 a. m . on both Saturday and Sunday. The Glengarry Pioneer Museu m is situated in Dunvegan.
