 Operating any customer appliances or apparatus (irons, washing machines, clothes dryers, vacuum cleaners, power devices, etc.).  Working in an unsafe or hazardous environment. Always observe your work surroundings to make sure there are no electrical cords you are unaware of, no tripping hazards, loose handrails on stairs, unfriendly pets, spills or slippery surfaces, exposed wiring or exposes electrical outlets.  Working alone. You need the security and assistance of your teammate should an emergency arise.  Engaging in any questionable cleaning tasks, even if requested by the customer, that you have not been trained to do. Call the office for permission if you are unsure. 4.5 Personal Protection The teamwork concept provides protection for employees in the following ways:  Assistance of a partner to provide first aid or communication of a problem situation in the event of injury or illness.  Provides assistance in handling unique circumstances involving employee safety or health. A few ways teammates can work together to minimize risk:  Always work as a team. Employees must not enter or exit a house alone, work in an unlocked house, answer the door without notifying their partner, etc.  When driving, avoid dangerous incidents by keeping the car locked at all times, keeping purses out of sight, avoiding dangerous neighborhoods, avoiding discourteous driving, provocative gestures, etc.  Lifting or attempting to lift or move heavy or awkward objects.  Helps ward off possible criminal acts, threats, or intrusion by others.

Inspection Process The MOLLY MAID work environment is periodically monitored to identify, minimize, and correct work place hazards. The MOLLY MAID safety program has identified many hazards that are addressed through standard MOLLY MAID operating procedures. Some examples of how we monitor the work environment are listed below: 1. The owner conducts an in-home estimate before the first cleaning in the customer’s

home. In addition to the marketing purposes, the estimate also: a. Permits observation of potentially unsafe work environments.
