Katherinemichelmore Assistant Professor An emerging leader in scholarly research of poverty and family policy, and labor economics, Michelmore has led several research studies on the Earned Income Tax Credit, including as principal investigator on the ongoing study “What Kind of Jobs? The Effect of the Earned Income Tax Credit on Job Quality”
saba siddiki Associate Professor
As founding director of the Institutional Grammar Research Initiative (IGRI), a multi-site international consortium of scholars funded by the National Science Foundation, Siddiki is helping to develop analytical approaches for the rigorous assessment of policy design and associated
(2020 – 2021), funded by the Russell Sage Foundation. She was also co-principal on the widely reported study of the impact of HAIL Scholarships on the Universit y of Michigan’s efforts to increase economic diversity of students inMichigan. Michelmore earned a Ph.D. in policy analysis and management fromCornell in 2014, after working as a research assistant at the Urban Institute inWashington, D.C.
outcomes. A Ph.D. in public affairs (Universit y of Colorado Denver, 2011), Siddiki’s research focuses on policy design, collaborative policy making, and regulatory implementation and compliance. She has studied these topics in the contexts of food, transportation and energy policy. She currently serves as associate editor for Policy Design and Practice.
