PIRTEK SERVICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Service Management System Developed and implemented by Pirtek at a cost of approximately £6.0 million, the service management system uses a combined mobile telephone /personal digital assistant (PDA) to deliver customer and job information to the mobile technicians. Emergency calls to Pirtek Centres are logged on the Pirtek service management computer system complete with details of the customer’s name and address, type of hose failure, precise location, order numbers etc. This information is communicated wirelessly to the nearest or next available Pirtek mobile service technician, ensuring faster response times; and that engineers arrive equipped with the correct hoses, assemblies and tooling for the specific task. Additional Customer Benefits Speed and accuracy of response are key advantages of the new system. Nevertheless, the customer benefits don’t end there. “Whether they’re a small plant hirer or a large civil engineering company, all our customers demand accurate and meaningful information.” By implementing the service management system, we can trace every job and provide detailed information to the customer including who raised the call, what parts were used, and what service was provided. We can even take a signature on-site electronically as proof that the work has been carried out to the satisfaction of the person responsible. The system delivers invoices in real time, which gives detailed costs to the customer within hours of the job being completed.
