Integrated Capital Programme • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Trust’s integrated capital programme/ plan and support the development of the Trust 10 year investment strategy and associated funding strategy. This involves the planning and organisation of a broad range of complex activities, formulating and adjusting plans and strategies in anticipation of complex environmental and political changes. • Develop and maintain strong external strategic relationships with GSTT strategic partners, within KHP, across the ICS, and beyond. • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior corporate and finance colleagues so that there are robust systems in place for on-going monitoring and effective tracking of multiple, complex, transformation and development plans. Lead complex and challenging negotiations, bringing influence to bear where barriers to acceptance exist. • Provide effective and expert specialist advice on the governance and delivery of the five year capital plan. This involves the analysis, synthesis and communication of highly complex service and organisational facts and information. • Determine capital availability generated from the Trust’s own resources, and from partner Trusts within KHP, the ICS, and the wider NHS, working closely with the Financial Planning department. • Provide financial leadership to the Director of Estate Development in developing alternative sources of financing from outside the Trust (and NHS) and innovative mechanisms which leverage the Trust’s existing capital strategy and develop relationships with key stakeholders such as the Charity, KCL and other external strategic partners. • Maintain expert understanding both personally and within the team of the Trust’s existing complex estate and historic financial and capital relationships and arrangements, and make strategic recommendations to the Trust on the impact of new capital arrangements, following expert analysis, synthesis and interpretation of complex data. • Lead their team in developing and maintaining a good understanding of the Trust’s SBU structure as it relates to its capital and estate arrangements and to provide expert advice to the Trust on the impact any proposed changes may have on the impact any delivery of its strategic ambition.
