The additional funds requested will permit faculty, staff, students and other patrons of the library to access journals and other materials essential to the preparation of grant requests, scholarly works, assignments and other required course work in a more timely fashion. This should enhance retention. The availability of significant portions of the collection in digital format may also help in recruitment. The addition of the Associate Dean will permit the Dean to more heavily invest in external facing contacts and fund raising.
