The franchise’s latest development was adding a drive-thru for greater customer convenience, and knowing that St. John Properties was open to this made partnering with the landlord an easy decision. “We wanted to try a drive-thru location, and we were able to do that at Valley Grove,” Krueger said. “We also liked the location in terms of its relation to our other stores. The proximity to the freeway and offices/daytime population was also a big factor for us.”

Properties compared to working with other landlords. “SJP has a full team that is readily accessible,” Krueger said. “Other [landlords] we’ve worked with we’ve never even met, which forces us to work through a broker or property manager that really has no authority. SJP has been great to work with, and I love being able to get in touch with exactly who I need to when things come up.” With an easy-to-reach landlord, Jersey Mike’s Subs can focus on providing fresh sandwiches to hungry customers.
