L’article publié dans Best of Punta Cana soulignait l’ouverture d’un nouveau res- taurant nommé The Loft. Selon l’article, le restaurant appartient à Katerina et son mari, Stéphane Langlois. Or, M. Langlois demeure au centre d’une enquête de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario (PPO) et du Barreau de l’Ontario. Celle-ci a débuté en 2016. Des employés du cabinet d’avocats Charron et Langlois, à Rockland, avaient informé le Barreau du Haut-Canada qu’ils croyaient que l’un des associés, Sté- phane J. Langlois, avait détourné ou dépensé de façon inappropriée environ 3,5 à 4 M$ des fonds en fidéicommis.

Une vague de mécontentement a inondé les réseaux sociaux à la suite de la publi- cation de l’article, qui a été copié sur bon nombre de pages, et qui nous apprend, entre autres, que M. Langlois habite désormais à Punta Cana. Selon les autorités, il n’y a aucune entente bilatérale d’extradition entre
