CWU Board of Trustees Meeting Agenda May 2026

Central Washington University Board of Trustees May 22, 2026 ACTION – Approval of ASCWU Constitution Revisions

In the Spring Quarter of the 2025-2026 academic year, the Associated Students of Central Washington University (ASCWU) reviewed proposed changes to the Constitution in their regular elections. The revisions to the Constitution include: - Correcting outdated names and positions to align with other governing documents - Clarifying language regarding recalls and recall elections to avoid inconsistencies between governing documents - Adding the Equity and Services Council to Article III and VI to match current practices These revisions highlight the work Student Government has done to try and become more accessible to students at large. Voting on these revisions will take place during the ASCWU General Election. According to the ASCWU Constitution, any constitutional amendments require ratification by the Board of Trustees to take effect. The Board of Trustees is asked to ratify the constitutional amendment passed by the ASCWU student body, effective for the 2026-2027 academic year.
