Kathy is a retired real estate operator and private equity investment professional with 30+ years of experience at top tier PE shops. She has a particular expertise in working with portfolio company management teams, coaching them through top line revenue growth while creating and maintaining efficient operations. CEOs love her collaborative and motivational style of coaching. Having retired from her corporate role at PIMCO in 2023, Kathy has transitioned into a portfolio life, focusing on her role as a corporate board director and other special projects. Most recently, Kathy was responsible for oversight of PIMCO’s Global Alternative Investment Portfolio with over $100 Billion in AUM. She and her team managed real estate investments, portfolio companies, and thousands of asset backed securities. She served on numerous public and private boards guiding companies through strategic changes, finance and capital market challenges, operational hurdles, and restructuring initiatives. She has served on multiple compensation and audit committees, driven financial restructurings, navigated M&A transactions, and facilitated cultural transformations. Prior to PIMCO, Kathy ran an operating company for Oaktree Capital in London where she and her team worked out a £1 billion NPL portfolio backed by commercial real estate post GFC. Kathy spent 15 years prior to the GFC working with Goldman Sachs’ Real Estate and SSG divisions globally on large acquisitions and asset management projects. Additionally, she spent time as the COO of Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group, a non-bank multi-industry middle market corporate lender.
