T h e H a tv n o f t h e S c a r l e t A g e By Edgar Ainslie The subtitle of this work, Studies in the Book of Revelation, indicates its contents, published originally as a series of articles in The Sunday School Times in 1954. The author was for some years an instructor in metallurgy at Purdue University and now ministers among the Plymouth Brethren. Mr. Ainslie holds to a pre tribulation rapture of the Church and presents many fresh viewpoints upon the futurist interpretation of the Book of Revelation. Here is a book worth ' owning. 150 pages; cloth; The Sun day School Times Company, Phil a delphia, Pa.; $2.00. Here is another volume in The New International Commentary on the New Testament being published in this country by Eerdmans. The series is avowedly conservative and abreast of the latest literature and the problems therein raised. This ex cellent and satisfying work maintains the scholarly standard set by the earlier volumes. While the English text is the basis of the comment, the Greek is fully discussed in the ex tensive footnotes. The full documen tation points the reader to a wealth of literature on every aspect of the Acts account. No minister or Bible student can afford to be without this work, although at points it appears antagonistic toward the dispensation- al approach. Full indexes conclude the work. 555 pages; cloth; Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., Grand Rap ids, Mich.; $6.00. A C o m p le t e B ib l e C o m m e n t a r y By Matthew Henry, Thomas Scott and others Any single volume commentary will be found wanting when the reader is seeking extended help on a given passage, but this reprint of an older work will prove useful to Sunday school teachers and others who have not the advantage of a personal library. About 50 per cent of the comment is from Matthew Henry and the other half from Thom as Scott and others. Each chapter of the Bible is treated separately. 1,024 | CONTINUED ► C o m m e n t a r y o n t h e B o o h o f A c t s By F. F. Bruce

W e would answer YES —

— If you really know Christ as your own Saviour. , ’^ f\lf you want training that will lead you to always preach "Jesus Christ and Him Crucified". — If you want to "Please not men, but God, which trieth our hearts". — If you desire to be free of ecclesiastical apostasy and control. Again Y E S — If you would know the joy of preparing under men like Dr. A llan A . MacRae, Dr. J. Oliver Buswell, and Dr. R. Laird Harris. Known through out our country, together with other members of the faculty, they are a constant inspiration and encouragement to their students.
