2. Are the souls of men in Latin Ameri ca really lost? (Rom. 1:18-23; John 1:12; Acts 4:12.) 3. What must happen if people are to be won to Christ in Latin America? (Rom. 10:14-17; Matt. 9:38.) 4. Do we have any assurance from the Word of God that in time, prior to the return of Christ, all the multitudes of the world will turn to Christ? (Matt. 7:13, 14; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; 4:1-4; note: in Revelation 75% of the population of the world will perish in the judgments of God during the Tribulation period (cp. Rev. 6:8; 9:15). 5. Who out of the multitudes of earth will be saved up to the time of the return of Christ? (John 1:12; 3:16; 3:36; Rom. 10:13; John 14:6, etc.) 6. In the light of the above Scriptures, when will the prophecy of Psalm 86:9 be fulfilled? Study Psalm 2 with Rev. 19:11-21. 7. Why do you think the Holy Spirit forbade Paul going into the province of Asia? (Acts 16:6.) Do you think it was because of the pressing need elsewhere? (cp. w . 9,10.) Do you think that Chris tians here in Gospel-soaked America should strive to give the Gospel to other peoples who have been neglected? What can you do about it? 8. What was Paul’s response to the vision? (v. 10.) What is your response? There is a dangerous tendency in our nation and other nations today to ignore one’s loyalty to his own nation in favor of a world government. Although, according to prophecy, world government is inevit able (cp. Rev. 13), yet it will issue in world defiance of God (cp. Psalm 2 with Rev. 13). As the movement toward world government progresses there will be more and more animosity on the part of world leaders and the peoples of the world to ward Bible-believers. The Bible does not teach the spiritual brotherhood of man, nor does it teach that sinful man is cap able of ruling the world. These are doc trines of Satan himself. It is not surpris ing, therefore, that the world’s last politi cal dictator will be Satanically inspired (2 Thes. 2:3-12.) It is true, however, that the Christian must have a sense of responsibility toward the nations of the CONTINUED ►

HEART OF THE LESSON This is the time to pray for Latin America, a continent of millions of souls with much religion and little salvation. Latin America is the outstanding example to the entire world of a government dom inated by the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Church has been in Latin America for many centuries and many of the peoples of that continent are still in pagan darkness. To make matters worse the Roman Church has merely Chris tianized the paganism of the peoples trans ferring allegiance from one set of idols to another. Many missionaries of the true gospel feel that the time is short for winning souls in Latin America. Let us pray, therefore, that the Lord will send forth laborers into this harvest field, and that He will raise up thousands of native believers to evangelize their own people. STUDY QUESTIONS 1. Is the Christian Church responsible for the souls in Latin America? Study John 3:16; Rom. 1:14; Matt. 28:18-20. Are you doing anything in the way of prayer, study and giving for the souls of this vast continent?
