What will you bring to the role?
As Deputy Director, you will have:
• A degree or equivalent qualifications/experience;
• Significant senior level facilities management experience (soft FM) within a complex environment;
• Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to persuade others at all levels;
• Significant experience of managing multiple teams on a large scale;
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to solve complex problems using own initiative, sound judgement and political awareness; • A good understanding of technical security systems, for example, intruder alarms, locking systems, access control, incident reporting and CCTV systems. • Demonstrated behaviours in line with the values of Commercial and Campus Support Services and the University.
• A proven ability to lead and manage a large facilities management function, setting and achieving high standards of performance and demonstrating well defined people management and coaching skills; • A proven ability to think and plan strategically and a track record of successfully translating strategy into reality; • A customer and results focus with significant experience of setting, managing and achieving key customer and financial targets; • Significant experience of managing large scale and complex projects with a track record of driving successful organisational and cultural change;
You may also have:
• A facilities management qualification or membership of a relevant professional body;
• Experience of working in Higher Education at a senior level.
