Mark Andy Hosts Open House At Warsaw Demo Center Mark Andy Europe held another of its educational workshops at its demo center in Warsaw, Poland, re- cently. The event was organized for the students of the Printing Technologies Unit that is part of the Fac- ulty of Production Engineering at Warsaw Technical University. The Open House, which was supported by Mark Andy’s partners, including Dupont, Flint Group, Flex- mar and PC Print (the local representative of Kurz), provided an opportunity to show several narrow web presses from the company’s flexo and digital portfolio. Real World Solutions The theory session was followed by Michal Mokrzy- cki and Grzegorz Rostkowski, print instructors at Mark Andy Europe, provided a practical demonstra- tion of the three different presses installed at the demo center: a P7 Performance Series flexo press, and two flexo/digital hybrid models, Digital Series and Digital One. Print demonstrations included jobs prepared by the participating students. On the P7, a set of self-adhe- sive white labels, prepared by Flexmar prepress stu- dio, was printed using two different Dupont plates (ESX and ESM). PMMI Recognized For Trade Show Excellence PMMI,The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, has received the 2018 IAEE Interna- tional Excellence Award for the success of EXPO PACK Guadalajara. The award was presented by The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) at IMEX Frankfurt on May 17. EXPO PACK Guadalajara, produced by PMMI, has matured from a regional show in Western Mexico to an international event that welcomed nearly 16,000 attendees in 2017. EXPO PACK Guadalajara 2017 broke records for attendance, exhibitors and exhibit space in comparison to the 2015 edition. International attendees from Guatemala, Cuba, Cos ta Rica , Colombi a , El Sa lvador, Honduras , Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru visited 757 booths spread across 140,000 net square feet of exhibit space. International pavilions included Brazil, Canada, China, France, Italy, Spain and the United States. EXPO PACK México 2018 is scheduled for June 5-8 at the Expo Santa Fe Mexico, Mexico City.
