Doubts
Satan shoots fiery darts at us. He puts questions and doubts in our minds because he’s trying to slow us down. Soon or later, he comes with this question, All you’ve been saying all these years, is it true? Even John the Baptist had his doubts (Matthew 11:1-6). He baptized Jesus and pointed Him out and said, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world ( John 1:29). Two years later he sent his disciples to Jesus to ask Him if He was the promised Messiah. I went to my uncle’s birthday party when he was 99 years old. He loved the Lord. We sang hymns and all his favorite songs. We read the Bible, and somebody preached. But then he pulled me aside and asked me a question, What do you think? Could this really be true... that we’ve been right? I assured him he was absolutely right because he had put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I remember making a visit to a hospital to see a great missionary who had served the Lord for many years. He asked, Why is God doing this to my wife and me? We served the Lord so faithfully. Satan had hit him
