Keep Singing

The Word of God is filled with music and singing and praise to the Lord. Twice a day Millie and I take the time to sing praises unto the Lord, go over some Bible verses and pray together. Here is our verse for the year: I will trust and not be afraid for the Lord Jehovah ismy strengthand song.Hehas becomemy salvation. (Isaiah12:2) I find the sequence in this verse very interesting: strength, song and salvation. Most of us like to sing after the problem is resolved. While that is great to do, this verse is saying the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song. So, I am to sing before I even know the solution to the problem God has allowed to come into my life. It’s just like Paul and Silas when they were in prison (Acts 16:16-34). They sang before their problem was solved. Do you remember what happened? There was an earthquake, the jailer got saved, and then his whole family got saved. So, no matter what happens to you, keep singing! The great songwriter, Fanny Crosby, was blind from the age of six weeks because of a quack doctor whose “treatment” took away
