Even So, Come,Lord Jesus
Acts 1:1-11 tells us that after Jesus rose from the dead, He took His disciples out to the Mount of Olives and commissioned them to go into all the world and spread the gospel. While He was speaking, a cloud received Him out of sight. As the disciples watched Jesus ascend to heaven, two angels appeared with a most important message: Why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:11) That is the first promise in the Bible after the resurrection and the ascension... Jesus is coming back to the earth!
The same Jesus who died on the Cross. The same Jesus who shed His blood to wash away our sin. The same Jesus who rose from the dead.
