Construction is underway, and we’re super excited to see the Frontwave Arena open its doors in late 2023 and to continue our relationship with the San Diego Sockers! We’re also super excited to see our new Frontwave Goodie2Crew out on the loose in our communities! For our 70th Anniversary, the Goodie2Crew is on a mission to give back to those who have helped us achieve such success. They kicked it off with a bang in May by surprising over 40 Marines, Sailors and civilians aboard Camp Pendleton with free gas. With prices at the pump these days, the gesture of appreciation was a welcome one! The Goodie2Crew also helped event-goers at the Beach Soccer Championships earn a $500 donation to youth soccer. And they delighted military families with free coffee and donuts at the last Armed Services YMCA Neighborhood Exchange. How cool is that?! These events are only the beginning, so be sure to keep your eye out for our Goodie2Crew coming to your way! Like musical theater? We’re sponsoring the Moonlight Amphitheater Summer Season – and we’re giving you a chance to win tickets! Simply fill out this form on our website. I can’t sing or dance. Seriously, it’s a terrible thing to see! But I love watching the amazing performances at the Moonlight. In my humble yet accurate opinion, they are every bit as good as what you’ll see on Broadway and the theater going experience is better! My family and I have been a patrons for more than 20 years, and I just love this place – so much so that I’m also a member of the Moonlight Culture Foundation Board of Directors. Bill Birnie, President/CEO You would think that turning 70 years old would be an opportune time to take a break and rest on our laurels. NOT! In fact, we’re “kickin’ it up a notch!” Especially when it comes to making financial dreams come true. In June, we hit a significant milestone by funding over $100 million dollars in loans in less than six months! That’s $100 million in buying power for our Members to realize their dreams of getting a new car or buying a home! Thank you for putting your trust in Frontwave Credit Union! If you thought that was cool, check this out! Last month, the membership of Barstow Community Credit Union voted to merge with Frontwave, which means we’ll be adding over 1,300 new Members to our cooperative soon. Please join me in welcoming Barstow Community Credit Union’s members to the Frontwave crew! We’re excited to onboard these new members and will be finalizing the merger over the next few months. Stay tuned to WelcomeBarstowCCU.com for more details coming soon. The good news keeps coming! Frontwave has also inked a naming rights deal for the new San Diego Sockers arena being built Oceanside. That’s right, an all-new Frontwave Arena is coming to the neighborhood! The 170,000 square foot facility will not only host the 16X champion San Diego Sockers, but will also serve as an entertainment and community event hub for the entire North County region.
