Rdr said he was inst to lead however mount raced keenly and reluctant to settle despite his efforts and as a result set a quicker tempo in front than he would have liked. PAKM 15/03/2024 Rdr said mount was not suited by fast tempo of race. Lost off hind plate during race. Post race vet exam revealed small cuts to outside of off hind fetlock and heel. PAKM 15/03/2024 Held up for clear running from the 500m PAKM 15/03/2024 Approaching the 1400m was steadied when racing in restricted room. CAUL 24/02/2024 Near the 2000m was restrained when awkwardly placed close to heels. Continued to over race for some distance when being restrained to gain cover. Laid inwards under pressure in the straight.M V 23/02/2024 near 2600m was taken out onto one runner, by another runner MORP 11/03/2024 Slow to begin. Passing the winning post on the first occasion was checked. Near the 300m was tightened for room. WANG 02/03/2024 Near the 300m bumped with another runner on several occasions. M V 01/03/2024 Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. M V 08/03/2024 Crowded on jumping. Approaching the 800m was checked outwards to avoid heels. Near the 700m was eased when racing in restricted room. Approaching the 600m was bumped on the hindquarters on a number of occasions. As a result became unbalanced. Rider reported the gelding did not appreciate the slow tempo in the middle stages. M V 09/09/2023 Rider could offer no explanation for the poor performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. CAUL 08/07/2023 Slow into stride, was then inconvenienced when steadied from the heels CRAN25/11/2023 Raced wide without cover throughout. FLEM 17/02/2024 When questioned rider explained the gelding was afforded every opportunity throughout the event. He added when he shifted out to improve from passing the 600m the gelding failed to respond to his riding. He could offer no other explanation for the gelding which had worked well leading up to today’s event and appeared to return to scale in a normal manner. A post race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised it was now the intention to step the gelding up in distanceSEYM22/10/2023 COT: To be ridden further forward; settled off pace. RAND 07/11/2023 Rider reported would be suited over a greater distance. Vet no abnormalities. FLEM 02/03/2024 Held up for clear running from the 500m to the 400m.
