He stated on straightening he had hoped to shift to the outside in an attempt to follow Buccleuch into the race, however, was unable to do so with Lovelycut being positioned to his outside. added he did not feel that there was an opportunity to gain clear running to his inside and was held up until being able to place his mount under pressure over final 100m. 6/06/2026 FLEM Slow to begin. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running from the 500m until passing the 300m. 20/08/2026 WNBL Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. 11/10/2026 SEYM Raced three wide without cover throughout. 21/10/2026 GEEL Held up from the 400m until the 200m.

Near the 200m checked and clipped heels. 28/10/2026 BDGO Raced three wide without cover. Eased down from 100m. May appreciated tracks with more give than today’s Good 4. 17/10/2026 RAND Bumped on jumping. Held up for clear running from the 400m until after passing the 300m, where it was directed inwards to obtain clear running. 12/09/2026 FLEM Held up for clear running from the 400m to the 300m. Laid in under pressure. 10/10/2026 CAUL Change of tactics: further back from wide barrier. Settled midfield. Raced keenly through the middle stages.

9/10/2026 CANB When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, rider advised that he was instructed to ride his mount similarly to when he rode the filly two starts ago at Goulburn on 11 September 2026 which was quietly. When questioned, co-trainer confirmed the instructions and said that last start the instructions were the same but on that occasion the filly began particularly well and then travelled strongly on the bit and settled more forward. Trainer was nevertheless reminded to notify Stewards that the filly was to be ridden quieter today. 22/10/2026 MORN Raced wide without cover until crossing to the lead near the 700m. Rider Daniel Stackhouse reported he was obliged to make use of the filly early to obtain the lead which, in his opinion, was detrimental to performance. Post-race vet exam - No abnormalities.
