For 24 years, the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour has brought the magic, excitement and enduring legacy of the Melbourne Cup to communities across Australia and around the world. Since its inception, the Tour has travelled more than one million kilometres, connecting with communities nationally and internationally. From schools and hospitals to aged care facilities, community celebrations and iconic landmarks, the Tour has created unforgettable experiences, brought people together and supported fundraising for local charitable causes. The Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour celebrates the people, places and stories that make the Melbourne Cup so special, creating meaningful connections that extend far beyond Flemington Racecourse.
A key initiative of the Tour is the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour National Sweep, which gives 24 regional and rural communities across Australia the opportunity to win a share of $50,000 for a registered charity of their choice, extending the Tour’s positive impact within local communities. The Victoria Racing Club gratefully acknowledges Principal Partner Lexus for its continued support of the Tour, alongside valued partners ABC Bullion, Howden, De Bortoli and TABCorp. Their contributions help bring the Lexus Melbourne Cup to communities far and wide, ensuring its legacy continues to be shared and celebrated.
At the heart of the Tour is the magnificent 18-carat gold Lexus Melbourne Cup trophy, valued at approximately $1,020,000 in 2026 and mounted on a handcrafted Western Australian Jarrah plinth, created by the Pallion Group under its ABC Bullion brand.
