college can better serve its students, alumni, and industry partners. CB learned that, while our graduates have proven to be well equipped with technical knowledge of business disciplines, they could benefit from more soft skills, which are often not delivered in lectures but can help students adapt faster to the workplace. With this in mind, CB designed EDGE, a co-curricular program that delivers soft skills by gamifying student engagement in professional development activities. In summer 2021, the col - lege adopted Suitable, a co-curricular management platform, to package, deliver, and assess the EDGE co-curricular program. EDGE is designed to guide students though the four levels of professional development at CB: 1. Explore for opportunities through exposure 2. Develop skills though engagement 3. Grow experience by practice 4. Excel by taking initiative and showing expertise.

sessed on their engagement level across four dimensions of career-readiness: Academic Success (degree progression), Career & Network, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership & Impact. Powered by Suitable, EDGE is delivered as a phone app. Students can see at their fingertips what activities are com - ing up, what achievement badges are available, which level they are at on each milestone, and all the badges they have earned. Participating students are also featured on vari - ous EDGE leaderboards by game point total, major/minor, campus location, and a host of other metrics. Leaderboard winners receive a surprise treat at the end of each quarter. EDGE also provides students a venue to showcase what they have accomplished outside of the classrooms. Each student has an EDGE e-portfolio containing all their co-cur - ricular work. The e-portfolio can be shared on LinkedIn and as part of their job applications. This way, EDGE gives students a way to tell their stories to recruiters and potential employers, beyond the grades on the transcript and the lines on the resume.
