It is finally getting a little cooler overnight and in the early mornings now, so it is time to think about warmer clothing. If you are bringing in your loved one new clothing, then please leave them with Admin at reception so that they can be labelled before being used.

Also please remember that everything is washed in commercial type washing machines so if the item is too delicate then it may not be the best for your loved one. As you can see when you visit the facility our gardens are looking a lot better with the new gardening contractors. The outside areas are also now being cleaned so that it spruces up the outdoors now that the weather is nicer to out outside during the warm days. Earlier this month we had an outbreak of respiratory disease in Buckley but thankfully it did not spread too far and was contained in Buckley. This is the reason that we go all out with PPE and isolation of those with symptoms so that they are less likely to spread it to others. Giselle Coss our Clinical Care Coordinator is also our specially trained Infection Control Practitioner and takes the lead in all things regarding outbreaks. If you have any questions, then please just ask. I would also like to let you know that we have had some changes with Hairdressing in the last couple of months. Kellie one of our care staff who is also a Hairdresser has helped us out till we could recruit another hairdresser, so Fran has now extended her days to 2 per week and Kellie has now gone back to her regular position of Personal Care Assistant.
