The Role

Role responsibilities:

• Plan, review, monitor and investigate mechanisms to ensure all organisational stakeholder requirements have been met. • Maintain asset registers ensuring that the administration of the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement and disposal of assets is documented.

• Work independently or with other staff or contractors across the University to deliver infrastructure services and projects.

• Liaise and network with contractors and third-party suppliers to facilitate the exchange of information, and help focus joint effort with projects and service delivery. • Liaise with key stakeholders and client representatives across the University to inform and advise about key structural, physical, and virtual environmental changes.

• Demonstrate ability to use a range of equipment, virtual or digital services.

• Take responsibility for carrying out more specialist risk assessments and incident resolution.

• Working with the Senior Space Manager, provide support to the University’s Academic Space Planning Group (ASPG).

• Contribute to the review of Space Management Policies and Procedures.

• Contribute to the development of five to ten-year University-wide space plans, regarding the effective utilisation of space, which will feed into the Estates Strategy and appropriate business cases.

• Deputise for the Senior Space Manager at meet- ings and other events, when required.

• Any other reasonable duties.

• Support with the management of the Estates Management Statistical (EMS) information

Specific Role requirements

• May be required to work evenings and weekends, as business demands.

• Monitor actual and future space usage across the estate, taking account of University requirements and forward planning accordingly. • Working collaboratively with others, contribute to the development of major projects that have a space management impact. • Contribute to the surveying of existing space and buildings, ensuring the data is accurately maintained, in order to produce Space Utilisation Plans. • Manage and update complex technical specifications using CAD drawingson individual projects and the estate as a whole. • Engage with internal and external networks, exchanging knowledge and information to provide input into the planning and development of future projects and services.
