REDEFINING CIRCULAR LIGHTING DESIGN, THE MARKET-FIRST DOWNLIGHT SUPPORTS EASIER MAINTENANCE, EXTENDS PRODUCT LIFESPAN AND REDUCES UNNECESSARY WHOLE-PRODUCT REPLACEMENT… Ansell unveils Prism Pro XM

Sustainability, circular economy principles and whole-life product performance are driving change across the lighting sector, with specifiers and contractors increasingly aware of the need to look beyond energy efficiency alone when selecting eco-friendly lighting solutions. Responding to this shift, Ansell Lighting has unveiled Prism Pro XM, a new market-first modular downlight, designed to support easier maintenance, extend product lifespan and reduce unnecessary whole-product replacement. Replacing the existing Prism Pro range, Prism Pro XM is a next-generation solution that combines the trusted performance of Prism Pro downlighting with a smarter, more sustainable design. Featuring a replaceable driver and light engine, the new product allows these individual components to be swapped quickly and easily in the event of a part failure or upgrade. The modular format helps reduce the need to replace entire luminaires when individual parts fail, minimising waste, simplifying maintenance and helping extend the operational life of the product. The innovative design has earned Prism Pro XM accreditation to TM66, recognising products that meet stringent circular economy criteria as a sustainable, futureproof and maintainable option to include in specifiers’ building projects. Available in standard, gimbal and anti-glare formats, the Prism Pro XM LED downlight is fully fire-rated for 30, 60 and 90 minutes to meet Part B of Building Regulations across all ceiling types. It is also fully tested to meet Part C (moisture), Part E (acoustic) and Part L (energy) of the Building Regulations. The luminaire is also both power and CCT selectable, offering a choice of

two outputs and a choice of colour temperatures between 2700K and 6000K. It

features a sloped bezel for a more aesthetic, premium finish and its low-profile design allows installation into shallow ceiling voids. A wide 60° beam angle provides broad and even light distribution whilst the fitting delivers efficacy levels of up to 100lm/W. The luminaire also offers an LED lifespan of L80 60,000 hours and is backed by a seven-year warranty for added peace of mind. Installation of the Prism Pro XM has also been improved thanks to a new lever-style connector, enabling quick, straightforward placement and removal. Designed to reduce strain during installation, it helps minimise the risk of damage to ceiling plasterboard while saving valuable time on site. Fast-fit

connectors also allow quick, tool-free wiring. Mark Abbott, Managing Director at Ansell Lighting, says, “There is growing demand within the lighting industry for products that not only deliver strong performance and energy efficiency, but also support longer-term sustainability goals. “Placing sustainability and longevity at the forefront of its design, Prism Pro XM has been developed to respond to that shift, giving installers and specifiers a smarter, more cost-effective and future- proof solution; one that reduces waste, simplifies maintenance and delivers long- term performance without compromise.”
