Stora Enso Sets New Circularity Target Aligned With GCP Stora Enso has published its Circularity Plan, aligned with the first version of the Global Circularity Protocol for Busi- ness, and introduced a new target to increase material cir- cularity in its direct operational control. The plan outlines the company’s approach to advanc- ing circularity, including target setting and the integration of circular economy principles into its strategy and daily operations. Hitting The Target Stora Enso has set a new target to achieve 90 percent material circularity in its direct operations by 2030, up from a baseline of 79 percent in 2025. The target reflects an expanded and more holistic approach, combining circular design, operational efficiency, and value chain collabora- tion to optimize the use of resources and minimize waste. It replaces the company’s previous technical recyclability target, which is now included as part of the broader mate- rial circularity metric. The Global Circularity Protocol, launched in 2025 by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) in collaboration with industry and non-governmen- tal organizations, provides a consistent and transparent framework for measuring and reporting circularity. INX Partners With Albert Invent On AI-Driven R&D INX International Ink Co. has formed a strategic collabora- tion with Albert Invent aimed at transforming its research and development operations through AI-driven formula- tion and data intelligence. Under the agreement, INX will deploy Albert Invent’s operating system across its global R&D organization to centralize experimental data, connect workflows, and es- tablish a unified foundation for AI-powered discovery. The move is designed to enhance how scientific knowl- edge is captured, shared, and applied across INX’s diverse portfolio, which includes solvent-based, water-based, en- ergy-curable, and metal decorating ink systems. Large-Scale Migration The collaboration includes a large-scale migration of INX’s historical R&D data into the Albert platform, enabling scientists to leverage institutional knowledge while ap- plying AI tools to design experiments, predict formulation performance, and optimize materials. Additional capabilities include integrated regulatory intelligence for generating safety data sheets during de- velopment and streamlined workflows linking commercial requests directly to R&D teams.
