Color blending Use math for art.
Color blending modes are different calculations mixing current color (like current layer) with underlying colors. In case of layers it is reversible.

*Color blending modes are based on pretty complex math but it is not necessary to know it to use them. You can just select a blending mode from the list. See page 176 for the details.
