3PM are an established industry leading Project, Programme and Portfolio Management Consultancy with a strong track record of managing the full lifecycle of projects varying in scale and complexity, across a broad range of sectors. Their team are carefully selected to ensure the individuals complement each other and fit within the culture of the organisation. Their ethos is to encourage, innovate, challenge and develop their management approach, with expertise spanning across multiple markets such as higher education, science, commercial, leisure & hospitality and residential. As part of their growth strategy they are seeking to appoint a new Partner to join the team on the next phase of their journey. Someone who compliments the personalities, experience and skills of the current partners and team. Someone who can strengthen them and be part of the next chapter of 3PM.

Partners of 3PM 3PM was established in 2012 by David Bird, Rob Burborough and Patrick Watson. All three had held leadership roles within larger corporates and were looking to recreate the fundamentals of Project Management; to be people-focused, deliver high quality complex projects and maintain a tailored individual service for clients. The founding partners felt that it was important to revive their passion for Project Management and wanted to establish that enjoyment as a cornerstone of the company they were about to build. With a flat organisational structure and strong relationships and communication between team members, 3PM are able to provide their clients with a more flexible, tailored service and a personal touch.
In 2012 and 2013 respectively, Suzannah Howson and James Buckley-Walker joined the company as Project Managers. Both became success stories in their own right; in 2018 they were promoted to Partner and now play an integral part in the leadership team. Suzannah and James brought with them their passion, drive and desire to be a part of something that would create a difference. In 2020, David Bird retired from the Partnership, having played a key role in the firm’s growth and development to date.

With the addition of a new Partner, the company is seeking to strengthen its current market sectors and to further penetrate new markets which are concentrically linked to its existing capabilities. 3PM’s future growth plans are not burdened by its original sectors, services or geographies, with an ambitious approach to follow the best needs of its clients. Significant experience in a project management role, successfully delivering technically complex and high-value build projects & programmes with values ideally in the range of £10m - £50m. ■ You will bring experience as an Associate or Director level professional with a track record of delivering a range of large-scale construction schemes. ■ Previous experience of working with clients to deliver innovative solutions to ensure schemes are delivered in line with their objectives. ■ Demonstrable experience of leading large project teams and working in a collaborative manner.
A naturally engaging relationship builder, who can evidence experience of developing a trusted network of contacts. Able to lead in a consultative approach in order to further relationships. Working in any or all of 3PM’s emerging markets. ■ You are a self-confident individual who has the ability to influence and engage with all levels both externally and internally. ■ A track record in delivering and achieving repeat business. ■ Evidence of working clients to develop relationships and be retained as “trusted advisor”.
Business Development and Fee Generation
Possessing strong commercial acumen, managing P&L and business development. Experience of growing and developing business within a comparable growing organisation. ■ Previous experience managing a business unit and identifying opportunities to develop. ■ Previous experience working with a comparable organisation or experience of growing a team.
Interpersonal Skills and Leadership
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of personal credibility and authority. Strong teambuilding skills and track record of leading and growing a professional project team and business. Proven people management experience including development, mentoring and recruitment. ■ Provide optimum leadership including encouragement, training and support in order to help others achieve their results and meet their budgets. ■ Create a positive and innovative atmosphere which encourages people to commit themselves to the task in hand and where necessary, go beyond the call of duty in order to achieve their key objectives. ■ Maintain smooth relationships when difficult circumstances prevail and develop a culture of trust both within and outside the organisation.
■ Experience in a leadership role at either Associate or Director level working for a comparable organisation. ■ A track record of delivering a range of projects from inception through to completion in excess of £10m across any of the following sectors including Healthcare, Hospitality & Leisure, Commercial and Sustainability.
