EXERCISE ESSENTIALS

IT’S EASIER TO GET THERAPY THAN YOU THINK! If you have an injury or an increase in pain and your health plan provides direct access, you can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist for up to 60 days without a physician’s referral. It is an easy process that can begin with a 15 minute free screen to promptly assess if therapy is required and or a quick call to the phone number provided on the back of your insurance card to determine if your health plan accepts direct access. Keep in mind deductibles, co-pays and other health care costs your insurance company require, would still apply.

EXERCISE BALL - PRAYER STRETCH While kneeling with an exercise ball in front of you, slowly lean forward and roll the ball forward until a stretch is felt.

WHAT PATIENTS ARE SAYING “I love that I could go directly to Choice Therapy.” Janice says,“I love that I could go directly to Choice Therapy.” She’s referring to Direct Access which applies to physical therapy and the ability of patients to be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist without being referred by a doctor or other healthcare practitioner. Like Janice, if you feel you have a problem that may benefit from the skilled services of a physical therapist, you may be able to refer yourself to physical therapy for treatment.” Janice also went on to say, “Choice Therapy has friendly and knowledgeable staff including the therapists and Stacy at the front desk, scheduling was fast and convenient and she found instant pain relief while making progress by leaps and bounds. If I hadn’t listened to a friend to contact Choice Therapy, I think I would be really sad from not being able to do the things I enjoy. I am now doing what I was doing before and very happy.” Janice Anderson – Clearbrook Resident!

DID YOU KNOW? Speech Therapy offered in Bagley! For both children and adults. There are many things that could cause a child to have difficulty with speech, swallowing, aversions to food or cognitive issues. Our therapists are here to help with any of these issues. Adult speech difficulties are common and come in many forms including stuttering, dysarthria (a problem with motor control of speech), voice problems, and articulation difficulties. This can cause a person to not want to communicate and even become withdrawn emotionally. In addition, problems with swallowing and drinking can be a serious health problem. However, speech therapy can help many adults improve their speech, swallowing and communication skills. This allows the individual to want to communicate, eat better, boost their morale and their purpose to their life.
