advantage, thanks to Jonathan Cyr and Ja- son Brochu. In the third, Alexandria’s own Brandon Barillaro scored a highlight reel-worthy goal with nice stick work and a backhand shot. The Hawks won the game 5 to 1, their 18th win of the season, which ties their 2013- 2014 count. On Sunday, the team was in Carleton Place to face the red hot Canadians, who are already 15+ points ahead of the other teams at the top of the Robinson division. The last time the Hawks were in Carle- ton Place, the Canadians limited them to only one goal. Well, history repeated itself last Sunday and Carleton Place shut out Hawkesbury for more than 57 minutes, on their way to a 4-1 win. Domenic Camastra scored his second in two games for the Hawks, a power play goal with assists from Jonathan Cyr and Jonathan Tecce. CJ Sharp was once again between the pipes for the Hawks, since Gunner Rivers is still on the in- jured list. Nicholas Campbell, from the AAA Wild, is currently the substitute goalie, since Daniel Potter has recently been released. The Hawks are back in town tonight for a game against the Cornwall Colts and will face Brockville on Sunday night, also at the Robert Hartley Complex.

HAWKESBURY | OnDecember 5, theHawks had the opportunity to rack up an easy victory against the Cumberland Grads, a team that sure won’t graduate out of the League’s bottom this season, thanks to their abysmal ranking and performance. The Hawks limited the Grads to four puny shots in the !rst frame while scoring two goals. Left alone in the slot, Domenic Camastra ripped a wrist shot to beat Paul Léger on the glove’s side, earning his !rst goal as a Hawks since the trade with Kana- ta. Marc-Antoine Bourbonnais scored the other one at the 16th minute, his fourth of the season. A little frozen without shots from the adversary, goalie CJ Stubbs got a wake- up call early in the second period when Zachary Salloum came "ying in front of the net to redirect a pass from Chandler Watson. After that goal, CJ Stubbs never looked back again, stopping another 20 shots for the win. The Grads’ celebration was cut short by the Hawks, who regained their two-goal

They also bounced back from their defeat to Embrun, beating the Cumberland Ban- dits 5-4 in overtime. “Pat Landry sent Jona- than Arebo on a breakaway and he made no mistake burying his second of the game to give the Cougars the 5-4 win”, con!rmed the coaches. With 13 wins in 20 games thus far, the Cougars are only !ve points away from the Panthers and are nose-to-beak with the Eagles for the second spot. The Eagles have a much easier weekend, playing against the North Dundas Rockets, a team who only won seven games since September.

VANKLEEK HILL | The Vankleek Hill Cou- gars are back at the Den this weekend for a night to remember against the Embrun Panthers. Last week, the Panthers steamrolled through the Cougars’ defensive and scored seven goals for their 16th victory of the season, securing, for the time being, the top spot of the National Capital Junior Hoc- key League standings. The Cougars are still playing good hockey despite losing a thril- ling 2-1 game to the Saint-Isidore Eagles.
