This will give us an opportunity to thank our customers, both local and further afield, for their support over the years and it should be a good day’s fun for all involved.”

In an effort to enhance the shopping experience for their customers, it is embarking on a project to revamp the shop floor. David Hughes, Director of Killeen Hardware, explained that they are undergoing a whole reinvention of the shop. “The goal is to have all the stands running in one direction and to remerchandise the shop to make it easier for customers to find what they need,” he said. “Due to the fact we are an independent store buying from various suppliers and have a large hardware store, finding a particular item can be a daunting task.
“To remedy this, we are planning to recategorise the shop, bringing all the hardware and DIY products into one place. We will be remerchandising with the help of suppliers. The aim is to have all the joinery products together, building products, engineering products, workwear, plumbing fittings together, and so on. We intend to install more signage with Killeen Hardware branding on it to make it easier for people to see where the items are located. “Our aim is to optimise the customer experience, giving them an informed choice on how much they want to spend. Customers will have access to a range of products, including trade and DIY options.” As Killeen Hardware celebrates its
