C lassique Floor Design was chosen by main contractor McKelvey Construction to install all the flooring at the new Bloomfield Walkway Community Centre in Belfast. Tarkett’s Omnisports Multi-Use was the choice for the creche area and the sports hall, and brings a wood-effect style to both floors. The popular multi-use gym flooring offers Class 2 shock absorption, as well as acoustic absorption.
The Surestep Safety Vinyl from Forbo which is easy to clean and maintain, was chosen for the bathrooms and the kitchen. Classique Floor Design’s team of skilled craftsmen and fitters installed Milliken carpet tiles in some of the multipurpose rooms. Commenting on the project, Director Kevin Carlin said, “We have been working with McKelvey Construction for over 10 years, and it has always
been great. They were ready to answer all our questions and the project ran smoothly. “As what also happened to McKelvey, access to the location was a bit tricky as it is a residential area, but once we got the material there, everything was fine,” he concluded.
