#301 | Side-by-Side: A Blueprint for Seamless CMHC and School Integration in Times of Crisis

When a crisis hits a school, there is no time to bridge gaps. This session provides a practical blueprint for integrating CMHC partners into school response structures. Learn to navigate HIPAA/FERPA hurdles, align communication loops, and build a unified safety net that ensures seamless support for students and staff when it matters most. Mary Alex Dill, LCSW is a Crisis Response Specialist with the Colorado Office of School Safety. Before joining OSS, she served Cheyenne Mountain School District for 8 years, applying experience in community mental health and child sexual abuse response. Alison Harris, PhD, LPC serves as a Crisis Response Specialist for the Office of School Safety. Drawing on 16 years as a school-based mental health professional, she bridges the gap between community care and education. Alison passionately advocates for comprehensive crisis recovery, prioritizing the mental wellbeing of both students and the staff who support them.

#302 | Scaling Dyadic Solutions: A Roadmap for Sustainable Family Interventions in Colorado

Four evidence-based dyadic models will be described: Safe Babies, HealthySteps, Child First, and ECFC AMHR. These interventions address early childhood mental health needs across the continuum of care, from health promotion to acute intervention. Each supports whole family wellness and is integrated into Youth and Family Systems of Care. Melissa Buchholz, PsyD is a Clinical Psychologist and Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Harris Program for Child Development and Infant Mental Health. She is the director of HealthySteps in Colorado and is a passionate advocate for the health and well- being of young children and families. Anna Marie Neal, LSW is the Director of Safe Babies at Illuminate Colorado, working at the intersection of infant and early childhood mental health and child welfare systems. She has extensive experience implementing dyadic, relationship-based interventions with infants, toddlers, and their caregivers in court-involved contexts. Julia L. Roguski, MA, LPC, CAC III is the Associate Executive Director at Savio House, where she has worked in various capacities for the last 35 years. Julia is passionate about helping children and families stay together and reducing the number of children who experience foster care. Over her career she has helped develop two specialty courts in the State of Colorado and now serves as a faculty member for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals. Jennifer Sommer Sheppard, LCSW, IMH-E (Clinical Mentor) is an Early Childhood & Family Center Clinical Manager at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery, overseeing the EC services including consultation, outpatient and in-home therapy.
