Every step to Finding Your Pathway

P assion, connection, experimentation, and learning from those who have already trodden those career pathways can guide students on the road to the right role. Equally, boys need to be open to all the career opportunities on offer. A new Christ’s College initiative – Finding Your Pathway – helps students take the first steps. In planning their path, they first need to consider where they are

going and how to put themselves in the best position to follow their interests and reach their end goal. And being well informed is integral to any student’s journey in carving out that pathway. Launched in late 2022, the six-day Finding Your Pathway programme draws together Old Boys and College parents to support Year 11 students in their decision-making. Under the inaugural programme, the boys have also been able to

make the most of their on-site experiences while visiting the University of Canterbury (UC), Lincoln University, and Ara. During their day at UC, the boys have relished their opportunity to power up their flying skills during a visit to an innovative lab in the state-of-the-art Ernest Rutherford building while also investigating geomorphological processes and remote sensing.
