The passing of Queen Elizabeth II – a student’s perspective
C hrist’s College bade its own farewell to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a special Memorial Service in the College Chapel on 19 September 2022. College was fortunate to welcome The Queen, along with Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the then Prince Charles and Princess Anne to the school in March 1970 to attend a ‘Royal Luncheon’ in the Dining Hall. In 2022, Year 13 student Oscar Gosling gave the reflection on the passing of The Queen, and his words were heartfelt.
