By bequest – Charlotte Ensor

C hrist’s College Future Gifts Manager Charlotte Ensor believes that the opportunities “in our own lives and all the many educational choices open to our boys are gifts to be treasured”. “In return, we need to acknowledge those myriad opportunities by giving back – in any way – so that we can support those who follow in our students’ footsteps,” she says. “By doing so, we – as a connected and committed College community – can all benefit from the significant steps we take.” With her son, Harry, in Year 9 and another son, Tom, still to join College – and both excited to be the fourth generation at the school – Charlotte understands the power of connection and the importance of supporting others on their school journey. “When I see the boys arriving at College and my own son walking through the gates in the black and white, I feel a huge sense of pride,” she says. “These boys are given a unique opportunity that will follow them closely in life. I believe that being educated at Christ’s College is a gift of first-class education that opens so many doors.” Wanting to find more ways to support the school and secure the

best future for each boy, Charlotte has taken up her role with a sense of appreciation.

all philanthropic gifts to our school as a lasting legacy of our much- admired Old Boys and outstanding members of our wider community who all ensure that each boy can be at his best. “In particular, the gift of a scholarship can transform a promising boy’s life and meet a proven need. Whether the focus is academic, sport, music or drama, those making the gift can help us decide where best to apply their incredible generosity.” For Charlotte, providing the best resources, and adapting and improving facilities, teaching techniques, and programmes are integral to the post-College success of each boy. “With the commitment, connection, and generous contributions of our Christ’s College community, our boys can make the most positive and powerful difference to our ever-changing – and often challenging – world. That support enables our young men to walk through our gates on their final day well-prepared for their future and equipped with the skills to think critically, honourably, and with imagination to ensure a better life for all.”

“In my role as Future Gifts Manager at College, I have

discovered that I am very much a people person and love building relationships with people from all areas of life. In particular, I have loved getting to know our wonderful Old Boys and Tour Guides and have enjoyed connecting with our alumni community at reunions and community events.” Charlotte fully comprehends the lasting impact of support from Old Boys, seeing it in so many boys enriched by their school environment every day. “Leaving a gift in a will leads boys on a trajectory that forever changes their lives for the better. A gift in a will not only benefits our boys today and tomorrow, but, equally, their own families for generations to come,” she explains. “These gifts – whether it is a monetary gift, a share of an estate, items of personal property or real estate – ensure that all our boys can utilise first-class facilities and access our range of programmes as they continue to develop and evolve. We welcome
