How do you contribute to your company and / or the industry? As CFO of the company, I designed the lease commission tracking program that we first used, customized for our purposes. I am the HR specialist, and have handled PR for the firm. What impact has social media had on your business? We’ve embraced social media as a means to promote ourselves and engage with the CRE community. A lot of it is fueled by our blog where we post company news and market insights and then disseminate those posts through our social media pages. Tell us a little about your family. I am in the business because I started to work with Barry, my husband, while at home with our twins, who were 4 at the time. Our daughter, Michelle, is a physician and married with our first grandchild. Our son, Scott, is a principal in our company. Now he is an SIOR and accomplished broker. What outside activities do you enjoy during you free time? There aren’t enough hours in the week for me, between a new grandchild, work, travel, photography, yoga, reading, and I’m an avid birder and animal lover. I think that is a particular challenge for most of the women in our office. They are all, as I am, practicing a balancing act. n
