The participants shall:
Share their understanding of how to properly store and apply chemicals and, in practical exercises, practise how to properly apply chemicals to a repair
ELEMENT 14.6 - CURING
Learning objectives:
110) The participants can explain the characteristics of curing material types and their application (Knowledge, intermediate level)
111) The participants can recognise that different companies can have their own work instruction to determine curing methods and that participants should always follow applicable work instructions (Knowledge, basic level)
112) The participants can act independently to use a technical data sheet to find the correct curing method and duration for a given material (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Explain different methods for curing blade repair materials by considering the following:
a.
ambient curing
b.
curing using heat
c.
curing using UV source
Explain how to find and use the technical datasheet to determine the curing method and duration for a given chemical
Emphasise that different companies can have their own work instruction to determine curing methods, and that participants should always follow applicable work instructions
