movies. They get a chance to make these new bonds with their new families. They get to make new memories of what family truly means and the children have a chance to feel loved. One example is to have a sit-down family night and just spend some time with their new families and getting to know them better. The chil- dren and parents get to learn more about
one another and get to feel happy as they do so. Another example is going to the store with their new family and getting new clothes that they never could have before – such as a new pair of shoes, any name-brand clothes, or even a new backpack. Finally, it is about the children having a safe place to call home. Children that are placed in foster care are typically in temporary situations until their parents can get back on their feet. Usually, the reason for children being put into foster care is due to their biological family not having a safe environment for the children. The biological parents don’t have money for something the children need due to the parents’ doing drugs or even alco- hol. However, if the child is adopted, it’s a permanent solution. The main reason a child is adopted is due to their biological parents being abusive to the child in some way or another, or the child being neglected. To get each child out of these situations is vital for their development. When they are placed or adopted, they no longer must worry about money for food or clothes. No longer do they have to be looking over their shoulders, afraid
