Dr. Vuong’s sheer output puts her in the top tier of CWU faculty: in only eight years, she has published one translation with commentary, one scholarly monograph, and three edited volumes (for a total of five books); nine articles and book chapters; and too many conference papers to count. And her research shows no sign of slowing down: she’s working on two additional books, one translation, and seven articles. She is active in the North American Society for the Study of Christian Apocryphal Literature (as the current vice-president and president-elect), and she is on the editorial board or subject editor for several journals and book series. She has also been selected for two prestigious fellowships: one at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Apocrypha at the University of Regensburg in Germany (2021-2022), and a second from the International Catacomb Society, which supported her archeological work in Rome, Ephesus (Turkey), and Jerusalem (2019-2020) – all of which has informed her research.
