Melanie Finnegan, CDOA President’s Bio Melanie Finnegan is the Division Order Supervisor at Comstock Resources in Frisco, Texas. She began her career in the oil and gas industry 12 years ago and has worked for Comstock since 2008. She is Comstock’s only CDOA, working properties in Texas and Louisiana, and is an integral part of their acquisitions and divestitures team, facilitating data transfer between parties. Melanie has been an active member of DALWORTH since 2009. She has presented at DALWORTH Spring Seminars and DFW-ALTA luncheons on the topic of calculations. She served as 2nd Vice President in 2015 and 3rd Vice President in 2017. On a personal note, Melanie and her husband Michael have been married 20 years this September. They have 3 children and spend their time watching high school basketball, pee-wee football and drill-team competitions. When they’re not cheering on their kids, Melanie enjoys playing tennis and cooking for family and friends. Melissa Martin graduated from the University of Delaware in 2004 and from Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University in 2009. Melissa began her career in the oil and gas industry at Chesapeake Energy in 2011, after being convinced to move across
the country by former law school classmates. They promised that the tornados really are not that bad. She began her service to Chesapeake in the E&P department, helping to order and cure title for the drill schedule. Melissa’s first introduction to the Division Order Department happened shortly thereafter in 2012, where Donna King asked for her team’s help to review title for units in production and to help review production curative. That first introduction came in handy when Melissa was moved to the DO department in 2013. Melissa worked Chesapeake’s Marcellus assets before being named as a supervisor. She continued to serve in that capacity until 2015 when she was moved to the company’s Oklahoma assets. Melissa served as the supervisor of Chesapeake’s Oklahoma assets until mid-year 2017 when she was moved to serve in the role of DO Manager. Melissa served as the CAPDOA Vice President in 2017 and is excited to be in the role of President for 2018. On a personal note, Melissa and her Oklahoma-born and raised husband Tyler live in Yukon. They spend their free time spoiling and playing with their 110 lb. lab mix Duke. She is also happy to report that the tornados really have NOT been that bad.
