INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS

PEDESTRIAN + CYCLIST SAFETY Develop/improve sidewalks, bike lanes, and crosswalks to improve mobility and safety. IMPROVE PUBLIC TRANSIT Expand and enhance public transit options and equitable access. Ensure infrastructure development is adequate to meet the needs of the growing population. REDUCE CONGESTION Improve/sync traffic lights and implement strat - egies to improve mobility. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Provide outreach to the community with infor- mation about transportation planning and incorporate feedback.

In 2050, the City of Fort Worth envisions a safe, reliable, resilient, and world-class transportation system that provides more freedom for all to choose viable trans- portation options; enhances our economic dynamism; connects us to communities, the region, and the world; improves our quality of life; is well-funded and main- tained; and prioritizes equity.

REVISED VISION

In 2050, Fort Worth envisions a safe, reliable, and resilient transportation system that empowers all to choose from a range of options, supports economic vitality, connects communities locally and globally, and enhances quality of life. Through sustainable funding, active community engagement, and congestion management strategies, this world-class system will reflect the needs of those it serves.
