DISTRIBUTION OF JOBS BY SECTOR Employment patterns, shown in Figure 02-37, in Fort Worth reveal the economic diversity and distribution of various job sectors across the city. Each sector plays a unique role in supporting Fort Worth’s economy, with distinct areas of concen- tration reflecting the city’s infrastructure, institu- tional presence, and commercial development. • Downtown Fort Worth serves as the primary employment hub, particularly for professional services. This area attracts a high concentra- tion of office and business services, estab - lishing Downtown as the city’s core for corporate, legal, and financial jobs. • The manufacturing sector is more dispersed, located primarily on the city’s outskirts and near industrial zones and major transporta- tion corridors. This placement takes advan- tage of larger land areas needed for manu- facturing facilities and proximity to highways for logistics and distribution. • Healthcare and education jobs are evenly
