3.3 2050 Origin-Destination Analysis Projected travel patterns were reviewed from the NCTCOG 2050 Travel Demand Model. These travel patterns represent the most significant OD pairs for the projected 2050 future, which includes population and employment growth, as well as infrastructure improvements. Each figure below contains the following information: • The dots represent the numbers of internal trips of the districts. • The larger and darker the dot, the more internal trips. • The lines represent the numbers of inter-district trips. • The thicker and darker lines indicate more inter-district trips. • The lines only show inter-district trips larger than 500. • The color of the district represents the density of trips produced and attracted (number of trips produced or attracted per square mile). Pink indicates trip production density, while blue
