the distribution of commuters: • Inflow: A total of 43 percent of commuters live outside of the City of Fort Worth and work in the city. • Internal: 21 percent of commuters live and work in the City of Fort Worth. • Outflow: 36 percent of commuters live in the City of Fort Worth and work outside the city.

Figure 13 presents a closer look at the people working in the city (i.e., inflow + internal) to identify home locations and critical OD patterns. As expected, the highest density of commuters to Fort Worth live in Tarrant County, specifically connections east of the city seem to have the highest concentration of commuters, which is consistent with the OD trip analysis shown in Figure 11, where the highest connections are northeast. On the other hand, Parker and Johnson counties have the highest concentration of residents working in City of Fort Worth. Figure 14 looks at the commuting patterns of the residents of the Greater Fort Worth Area. The analysis excluded the residents of the City of Fort Worth, as its purpose is to understand travel patterns that might traverse the city. Per the figure below, a portion of the jobs are allocated within Greater Fort Worth Area counties, but a significant portion of the jobs are concentrated in Tarrant and Dallas counties. As most of the Greater Fort Worth Area residents live east of the City of Fort Worth, most of these trips
