The 2023 matrix includes a total of 4,626,304 trips. Among all user classes, drive-alone home- based work trips for income ≥ $75,000 and drive -alone non-home-based work-related trips contribute the most significant share of total trips. The 2023 matrix shown here is the starting point for the calibration.

To generate the 2036 matrix, an interpolation between 2026 and 2050 trip tables was carried using the population as the interpolation anchor, instead of the year. Based on our analysis, between 2026 and 2050, the annual population growth rate is 1.51% in the NCTCOG region. Based on this approach, the 2036 resulting matrix is shown in Figure 3.
