PROJECT PURPOSE Old Denton Road will be widened, realigned, and reconstructed from a 2-lane undivided roadway to a 4-lane divided roadway between Sawtimber Trail and Westport Parkway. These upgrades are intended to enhance multimodal and pedestrian safety, reduce crash incidents, relieve congestion, and support growth in one of Fort Worth’s fastest- developing areas. PROJECT COSTS Estimated Project Delivery Cost $33 million
Significant development activity in the area, including active Concept Plans, Plats, and Community Facilities Agreements (CFA). Serves southbound traffic accessing Interstate Highway I-35W. Aligns with the future reconstruction of Westport Parkway. Anticipated traffic growth and safety concerns support the need for proactive improvements.
