PROJECT PURPOSE The project will reconstruct and widen the existing two-lane undivided roadway into a four-lane undivided facility with a center turn lane extending from S Race Street to Forest Hill Drive.

PROJECT COSTS $49 million (FY 2031 $) JURISDICTION Council District 8
Enhances multimodal access for nearby commercial, industrial, and residential areas, while improving access to educational and leisure facilities. Relieves congestion along Shelby Road and addresses future traffic impacts from the nearby planned developments. Facilitates regional economic development by improving access to key corridors, including IH 35W.
