PROJECT PURPOSE The Westport Parkway reconstruction project will widen the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided facility between IH 35W and N Beach Street, improving mobility, safety and pedestrian access.

PROJECT COSTS $55 million (FY 2029 $) JURISDICTION Council District 10
Strengthens access between IH 35W, SH 170, and North Beach Street. Implements intersection improvements at Old Denton Road to reduce congestion, improve travel times, and accommodate increased passenger and freight demand. Incorporates dedicated shared-use paths on both sides of the roadway, promoting walkability and cycling accessibility.
